    Government in G.O.Ms.No.35, Education(H) Department, dt.16.01.1981 have issued orders with regard to delegation of powers to the head of institutions concerned and authorized the heads of the Educational institutions to preserve proportionate leave to the extent teachers under their control who were prevented from utilizing summer vacation due to enumeration preparation or revision of electoral rolls, cenus,etc., based on the certificate issued by the appropriate appointing authority for such work.

 Government have extended the orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.35, Education(H) Department, dt.16.01.1981 in G.O.Rt.No.421, HE(IE.I) Department,dt.04.06.2001, for preservation of proportionate leave to the Junior Lecturers who were prevented from availing summer vacation due to their involvement in conduct of examination, census duty and election duty and also accord sanction of proportionate  E.L`s to the Junior Lecturers for reducing the summer vacation period due to increase of working days from 180 to 220.

In view of the Government orders cited above, all the Regional Joint Director`s of Intermediate Education and the Principals of Government Junior Colleges in the state are permitted to preserve 09 days[nine] of Earned Leave  to the Principals / Junior Lecturers / Physical Directors / Librarians working in Government Junior Colleges due to reduction of summer vacation for the academic year 2009-10 and due to enhanced no of working days .

The Regional Joint Director’s of Intermediate Education / Principals of Government Junior Colleges in the state are requested to make necessary entries in the service registers of the incumbents  to that effect.

The Receipt of these proceedings should be acknowledged.
